Assembly and prototypes What we need to quote SMT and / or Thru Hole Assembly (Prototypes or volume): Bill Of Materials - preferably in MS Excel spreadsheet format. Please indicate any components that have special assembly requirements. BOM should include: Part number, Designator to PCB silkscreen, and Description.
Gerber or CAD files - if the PCB was not manufactured by us, we will need the CAD or Gerber files.
Special Instructions - please provide detailed assembly drawings and instructions (such as insertion into casing or wire placement onto PCB).
Once you decide to order we will need :
-Silkscreen indication of pin one and polarity marking on diodes and capacitors. If marking is not available on silkscreen, please give us instructions on a separate document showing mounting orientation.
-You can send parts to us or have your supplier drop ship them to us. Please see Contact Us for instructions.
-Quantities of parts & components for assembly should be 5% more than required for attrition purposes. We can store your excess parts for a future order or have them shipped to you with the assembled boards.
-We highly recommend letting us test your products on site, it gives us feed back to make corrections immediately in case we have errors in the assembly. Errors during assembly may not get detected other wise. Please send detailed information on test fixtures and procedures to quote test time. We can also build the test fixtures for you. |
